Martis Camp Club’s Lookout Lodge restaurant is winter dining at its best. Just off the private ski hill and lift, the Lookout Lodge dining team serves members and their families as they head to and return from a Tahoe-perfect day on the slopes. The floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful view doesn’t hurt either!

The Lookout Lodge FOH team is looking for a winter season server either seasonal fulltime or seasonal part time to wow the members with delicious food and amazing service. The ideal fit for this position is someone with experience in serving who approaches interactions in a service minded way and works well in a team. Our aim is to provide members and their families amazing service while creating a warm and friendly environment in which to relax.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Attending members and guests with attentive service, food knowledge, and thoughtfulness
• Assist members in selecting food and beverages by maintaining a thorough knowledge of changing menus; suggesting courses; explaining the chef’s specials
• Protect members by adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol beverage control policies
• Prepare room for dining and setting decorations
• Stay updated on current specialties and menu changes
• Transmit orders to bar and kitchen accurately and in a timely manner, identifying any special dietary needs and special requests
• Keep culinary team informed by monitoring timing and progression of the meals
• Respond to additional member requirements by inquiring of needs; observing dining process
• Maintain table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; maintaining water and beverage service; being alert to member spills or other special needs
• Obtain revenues by charging the appropriate member account promptly in POS system
• Perform basic restaurant side-work and additional cleaning tasks as needed or directed by supervisor
• Promptly address service issues and refer members to management when necessary
• Assist teammates as needed
• Follow all additional safety guidelines and Club policies regarding Covid-19 operations
• Other duties as assigned by the Dining Manager

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time with one lunch break and two ten-minute breaks
• Must be able to safely lift, carry, or transport food and drinks from kitchen to table
• Must be able to grip silverware, dishware, and drinkware safely
• Must be able to safely kneel, bend, twist
• Must be able to safely lift/carry up to 20 pounds max at one time

Other requirements:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen (excludes marijuana results for 21 and over)
• Must have serving experience
• Must have current ServSafe certification
• Must be professional at all times in grooming and communication
• Must engage all (members, guests, fellow Ambassadors) in a polite and friendly manner
