Job Summary

Mountain Hardware and Sports is more than a hardware store, we are a Mercantile, which is what creates the magical shopping experience we offer our customers.  Home Elements is a department that makes us unique.  The Home Elements Associate will be dedicated to the Home Elements department and work with department peers to ensure customers are served, the department is stocked, organized and displays are attractive.  The ideal candidate will have a passion and experience with home elements/décor and retail customer service experience.

COMPENSATION RANGE – $18.00 – $22.00/hr. DOE

*This position is only open to applicants 18 years of age or older.

*Must be able to work on-site in Truckee at the Donner Pass store

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the sales floor
• Help with processing and receiving for home elements and soft good items
• Unload, unpackage, and assemble merchandise and sales floor displays
• Stock shelves with incoming products accurately and efficiently
• Maintain working knowledge of new/current products
• Provide consumers with insights on products and fulfill special order requests
• Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the store
• Provide general support as needed, including cashiering

Skills and Qualifications

• Passionate about home décor
• 1-2 years experience in retail and/or customer service
• Positive and friendly personality
• Ability to lift 30lbs

• Ability to stand for an extended amount of time
• Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Must be able to work in the United States.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English.
