Summit Studio & Home is a home furnishings and decor studio store located in the airport district of Truckee.  We offer the widest selection of modern and contemporary styles in the Truckee/Tahoe area.  Our heart is for Truckee to have a local source of modern new and consigned items for the home.

Given our unique area, we offer high-end consigned furniture, decor, art, etc as well as designer brands within the average Truckee local’s budget.  Home design and decoration services are also offered and have become a fun new addition to what we offer the community.

Our immediate needs are to grow our in-store staff.  We are looking for someone awesome who can perform basic daily functions such as working with customers (helping choose products), communicate electronically (email, text, spreadsheet, etc) and other basic duties.  An upbeat positive environment is a must as customer (as well as employee) experience is paramount.  Organizational, basic computer and communication skills are needed.  We are willing to train anyone with the heart to learn.

Other areas of needs are background work such as inventory, ordering, design, etc.  If one of these roles where to be considered, working in the store for a period first would be helpful to gain understanding of the business.

An interest in interior design, decoration, art, etc is helpful but not essential.  With this position one will grow and gain a great deal of knowledge concerning the design and furnishing industry.  As we see a large number of consigned items come through as well as work with about 15 vendors, anyone working at Summit Studio can’t help but be immersed in the world of furnishing and design.
