Hello! Thank you for your interest in our position at Sierra Community House. The Residential Program Coordinator is responsible for assisting Safe House and Transitional Housing Residents. This position assists in service planning, development, reporting, implementation, and quality improvement activities. Knowledge and understanding in the areas of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse issues are preferred as well as, housing needs and mental health needs in the Tahoe/Truckee community.

The position is a regular full-time, 40-hour position and is non-exempt. Our ideal candidate would be fluent in speaking and writing in Spanish and English. The candidate must be able to work in crisis situations, possess strong planning and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, the ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends, and have the ability to drive without restrictions and reliable transportation.

As the ability to drive without restrictions is essential to this position, upon hire, a printout of the employee’s DMV record is required. In order to ensure the new hire meets the required standards of both the job position and the overall industry, fingerprinting is required, as well. New employees will schedule an appointment for fingerprinting through one of our approved locations during the first week of employment.

The onboarding salary range for candidates with experience is between $21.41-23.77, DOE.

A benefit allotment is offered the first of the month following hire, that covers medical, and the remaining allotment may be used toward a cafeteria of options ranging from dental, vision, and flexible spending accounts for health and/or childcare.
