About Sugar Bowl Ski Resort

Sugar Bowl Resort is looking for an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Administrator to process Accounts Payable invoices and pay vendors in a timely manner, reconcile vendor statements, research and correct billing issues and scan/file paperwork. This position is also responsible for the oversight of homeowner accounts receivable, including billing, collection and application of payments to homeowner accounts.



  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high-volume accounting environment
  • Knowledge of Great Plains Accounting software desired
  • Strong work ethic including the ability to handle sensitive information
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Office
  • Ability to take initiative; strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills through phone, in-person, and electronic communications
  • Hardy, resilient and must LOVE snow (for in-person and hybrid candidates)



  • Dispersing invoices to all departments for approval and corresponding with department managers regarding coding and purchase orders
  • Entering all invoices into Great Plains accounting software
  • Verifying general ledger numbers and checking for accuracy
  • Assigning invoices to the proper period
  • Issue checks and initiate EFT payments to vendors on a timely basis
  • Review monthly statements for paying invoices
  • Phone contact with vendors
  • Reconcile invoice disputes with vendors
  • Establish accounts with vendors and update Sugar Bowl credit information
  • Prepare and distribute monthly homeowner bills
  • Work closely with Village Services to ensure charges are properly billed
  • Apply payments received to homeowner accounts
  • Ensure all charges to homeowners’ accounts from third party vendors are property reconciled to supporting vendor bills
  • Effectively communicate with Sugar Bowl homeowners regarding billings
  • General office management (filing, office organization, answering phones)
  • Provide other accounting staff support and guidance as needed
  • Willingness to assist winter operations when staffing levels require
  • Work on various projects as assigned
