General Description

The Northstar Community Services District is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Accounting Technician. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Clerical accounting and bookkeeping tasks involving the processing, maintenance, and review of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Cash Receipts; preparation and processing of routine bank reconciliations and deposits; administrative and clerical functions supporting District operations; assisting with the answering, screening and directing of incoming calls; and providing support for District initiatives, programs, and departments.

Qualified applicants must possess strong organizational, communication, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. The ideal candidate will show initiative and the technical and soft skills required to excel in a small agency setting. Previous local government experience and Springbrook software experience is a plus.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position with benefits including:

The annual salary range for this position is $56,329 – $68,468.
