Great opportunity to work in the front and back of the house! The Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy are hiring a second Ski Team Coordinator + Administrative support person for the 22-23 Winter Season.  The Ski Team Coordinator position is listed below which will require approximately 20 hours per week. The remaining 12-20 hours will be scheduled within the Business Office of the organization and support Accounting, HR and the Finance Team.  Excellent customer services skills as well as experience in office management (QB experience preferred) will round out our seasoned team. Position Overview: (Seasonal/FT – Nov-Apr;  Fri/Sat/Sun/Holiday weeks in Dec/Jan/Feb)

As a program of the Sugar Bowl Ski Team & Academy, the Sugar Bowl Ski Team operates December through April for over 250 families and 400+ youth athletes. Our staff works at all levels to provide an exceptional experience for our youth participants and their families. The Ski Team Coordinators are the primary administrative position for our Youth Ski Team Program.  The Ski Team Coordinators will work with our Director of Athletics and our Ski Team families at Village Hall. Primary duties include delivering outstanding customer service and working with the Village Hall team to ensure all  protocols are enforce.  Includes administrative support, Volunteer duty coordination, and support of our Youth Staff Coaches are also daily priorities. Excellent communication required both in person and in writing.

Responsibilities During Shifts:

  • Outstanding Customer Service to every one of our SBSTA families and visitors.
  • Greet and welcome every Locker Holder who enters Village Hall.
  • Enforce policies for Village Hall Locker Room and building access. Open and close as needed.
  • Work with SBSTA Front Desk to ensure all duties are completed.
  • Keep the front desk/lobby clean and organized. Organize lost & found items as generated.
  • Answer all questions/inquiries at Village Hall front desks.
  • Answer all incoming calls to the Village Hall front desk and redirect or forward as appropriate.
  • Check, sort and forward emails to appropriate parties.
  • Monitor daily Ski Team Radio traffic; communicate to Staff about late arrivals and coordinate meetings.
  • Follow all SBSTA Athlete Injury Protocol and procedures; Assist Director of Athletics in Parent Notification, Liability Forms, Incident Reports, and Communication with Ski Patrol. Act as Guardian until Parents arrive on the scene with athletes.
  • Collect monies for  Bibs, registrations for Tahoe Race Series , finalize lists and submit to the business office. Work with Head Coaches on Tahoe Race check requests.
  • Connect with the Head Coaches and inform the Business Office Manager on any team transfers or changes to team rosters.
  • Inventory and order medals and awards for SBST-hosted races/events. Assist Director of Athletics hosting duties including podiums, PA system delivery.
  • Ensure the Village Hall Locker Room stays clean and organized.
  • Assist in creating thematic atmosphere in Village Hall Locker Room based on month (Holidays, Special events, end of season)
  • Assist the Head Coaches in organizing SBST Parent Sweepers and VH Volunteers.
  • Assist the SBC Race Administrator with Race Volunteer Management.
  • Keep the front entrance safe and clear paths around Village Hall.

  • As a condition of employment all SBSTA employees must pass a State of California fingerprinting background check via Livescan and complete a Safesport Training course.
  • Employment requirements for the 2022-2023 season include proof of full Covid-19 vaccination prior to the first in-person day.  (Fully vaccinated is two weeks after your second dose in a two-dose series or two weeks after a single-dose vaccine.)
