Schedule: 16-24 hour/week. Shifts available on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
This position is with the Tahoe Food Hub. We support small, family farms within 100-miles of North Lake Tahoe and create access to local food for our mountain community.
Tahoe Food Hub is looking for a local food delivery driver. It is a great position for someone wanting to get involved in their local food system with a part-time job and potential for advancement. The position’s primary role is to drive our refrigerated delivery trucks down to the Sierra Foothills to pick-up fresh, local, sustainably-grown produce and bring it back to our Truckee warehouse. The driver then delivers orders to area restaurants and grocery stores in the North Lake Tahoe/Reno region.
Skills Required:
Must have a clean driving record, have experience driving box trucks (CDL not required) and strategically packing trucks in an organized fashion. Successful candidates will be detail and safety oriented, work with a sense of urgency while offering friendly customer service. Must be okay with early morning shifts. If a position is offered, applicants must pass a background check.
All staff must follow food safety protocols when handling produce and follow order packing procedures set by Tahoe Food Hub to ensure inventory stays in good condition and organized. Candidates MUST live in North Lake Tahoe.
