The Town of Truckee has an opening for a part-time intern in the field of Administration and Accounting. This position will be tasked with assisting with general office duties including, but not limited to, research, data entry, filing and general coordination. Position would also assist in management of paper flow and electronic processes.
The right candidate will possess the ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel (Google Docs/Sheets experience okay). Accounting coursework would be a plus. If time allows, this position would also be responsible for miscellaneous tasks in the fields of finance, human resources, and/or information technology.
It is anticipated that this position would work up to 20 hours per week depending on availability. Work would be completed between 8am and 5pm Monday through Friday; schedule is flexible to work around school hours or other obligations. The Town of Truckee is committed to providing an intern with a paid opportunity to gain real world experience while still making a meaningful contribution to the Town and its constituents.
