Job Summary

This role is perfect for an outdoor lover, interested in our local sporting activities and the products it takes to get out there and enjoy this beautiful place we live in! We focus on all outdoor activities and are looking for an avid angler or hobbyist who is familiar with fly and bait fishing products, techniques, styles, and general knowledge of sporting goods. You’ll focus on the maintenance of products and services for the Fishing and Sporting Goods departments with an emphasis on customer assistance and sales.

COMPENSATION RANGE – $16.50 – $21.00+/hr. DOE

*This position is only open to applicants 18 years of age or older.

*Must be able to work on-site in Truckee at our Soaring Ranch store

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain products and services for the Fishing and Sporting Goods departments 
• Customer Service
• Demonstrate knowledge of the store’s fishing products, including rods, reels, lines, baits, tackle, and other relevant items. 
• Educate customers about the features, benefits, and proper usage of various products.

• Awareness of local fishing laws, regulations, and licensing requirements 
• Genuine enthusiasm for fishing as a hobby or sport
