About Lift Truckee

We are looking for a positive, organized and service-oriented person to serve as a full-time Community Development Manager for Lift Workspace and West River Village – a redevelopment project in downtown Truckee to include cohousing, a wellness center, cafe and cowork space. This position will be exposed to a broad range of responsibilities and will have the opportunity to shape the future of our community, our business, and their role in it. The below responsibilities and corresponding compensation are a starting point.

Lift Community Manager (50%): Our goal is to maintain a friendly, safe, clean, green, and impeccably organized space for our approximately 75 Lift members to collaborate, host meetings and get important work done. The role includes customer service, keeping the space organized, creating systems and helping manage the expansion of our cowork space while integrating a cafe and wellness center.

CoHo Community Manager (25%): Approximately 8-10 hrs per week supporting the community of approximately 20-30 households building Truckee CoHousing. Responsibilities include general administrative support for our membership, finance, and coordinating teams.

Office Manager (25%): We run an open-book business where financial performance is shared and understood by all team members. Responsibilities include general administrative support for the Lift and the West River project.

Full-time w/flex time (32-40hrs/week). The Lift does need regular morning and afternoon attention Monday through Friday with occasional evening or weekend event support (when we start running events again). Cohousing support requires attending scheduled monthly zoom meetings including one general meeting per month on the second Sunday 4-6 PM. As long as daily responsibilities are managed, we encourage the flexibility to get out of the office to hit the trail, take a ski break or take care of life. It’s part of our commitment to build a healthy and resilient community.

Location: Supporting our membership in person is a priority. We are operating at a lower density model with COVID-19 Protocols. While some communication is likely to take place remotely, the majority of work should take place on site. Preference will be given to applicants who live in Truckee.

Useful Skills and Experience: 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience with financial data, numbers, spreadsheets, and accounting software (preferably Quickbooks)

  • Proficient in Google Suite and adept with new technology and software w

  • Social media platform experience

  • Marketing or sales background

  • Office, business operations or project management experience

  • Hospitality experience

Starting salary range: $48,000-62,000 per year includes performance bonus and based on a full-time schedule of approximately 40/hr per week. Some schedule flexibility available.


  • Personal Time Off of 3 weeks (15 days) per year

  • Flex time and unpaid leave as needed

  • Performance bonus of up to 10% of salary based on mutually-agreed goals
