The County of Nevada is seeking a full-time Administrative Analyst II to jointly serve the County Executive Office (CEO) and Board of Supervisors’ Office (BOS) located in Truckee, California. A successful candidate will work directly with the Nevada County District V Supervisor, County Executive Office, and Board of Supervisors to help advance projects, promote County priorities, further community initiatives and become an integral team player in the eastern part of the County. The candidate will work in the field and serve as a liaison for the Board of Supervisors’ office with constituents, Town of Truckee, County Departments, and community stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about public policy, place a strong emphasis on the need for data driven solutions by exploring nuances and multifaceted perspectives when tackling any given issue! Qualifying applicants should have experience and/or strong desire to work with local elected and community leaders. The position requires strong analytical capabilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills. A successful skillset includes prioritizing multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced and exciting environment.
Specifically, skills for success include policy analysis, quantitative and qualitative analytical capacity, and an ability to communicate clearly and succinctly. Understanding of the core principals of fiscal budgeting, financial planning, legislative processes and detailed research strategies is essential! Success in this position requires an individual who is results-oriented with the agility to pivot in response to high priority goals. Perhaps most importantly is an earnest desire for public service and passion for hopeful solutions to any given challenge.
